We are "sideliners" (part time beekeepers, but we put our full effort into what we do).  We tend to around 30+ hives seasonally . To reach this goal,  my wife and I are focusing our efforts on honey production as well as building up my number of nucleus (nuc) colonies for sale each spring.  

Following a 24-year career in the Navy cumulating into over nine years deployment time to such areas as the Persian Gulf, the Western Pacific and Mediterranean Oceans, Bosnia and Herzegovina, South American and the Middle East,  I retired and started working at the Defense Information School located on Fort George G. Meade, Md.   This has allows me to mentor and serve along side the younger generations of my military family.
